To address the demands of a growing population, there is an urgent need to prioritize the development of dairy, poultry, fisheries, and the broader livestock industry. At CLFMA, we remain steadfast in our efforts to enhance the sector’s growth, both within India and on the global stage.

CLFMA’s Participation in CII Krishi Bharat 2024, Lucknow, UP on 15-18th November 2024:
Dr. Saikat Saha, CLFMA’s West Zone President, proudly represented CLFMA OF INDIA as a Special Invitee at the prestigious CII Krishi Bharat 2024, held in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on 15th November 2024. The event was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri. Yogi Adityanath, who underscored the importance of agricultural innovation and highlighted collaborations with Netherlands to uplift farmers’ incomes.
Dr. Saikat Saha’s active participation showcased CLFMA’s dedication to fostering sustainable agriculture and livestock practices through industry partnerships and knowledge-sharing platforms. The four-day event, held at the Vrindavan Yojana Grounds, emphasized the integration of agriculture with entrepreneurship and the adoption of advanced technologies to boost farmer incomes and productivity.

Pre-Budget (2025-26) Consultation Meeting for the Fisheries Sector:
Mr. Nissar F. Mohammed, Hon. Secretary of CLFMA OF INDIA, actively participated in the Pre-Budget Consultation Meeting (2025-26) for the Fisheries Sector, organized by the Government of India. The virtual meeting was held on 18th November 2024 at 3:00 PM under the Chairmanship of Dr. Abhilaksh Likhi, Secretary, Department of Fisheries.
This consultation served as a platform for industry associations and key stakeholders to present their priorities and suggestions for the upcoming Union Budget, scheduled for February 2025.
Representing CLFMA, Mr. Nissar F. Mohammed shared valuable insights and recommendations to address the challenges and opportunities within the fisheries sector. His contributions reflected CLFMA’s commitment to supporting the sector’s growth through robust policy frameworks and collaborative efforts.
Such engagements underscore CLFMA’s proactive role in shaping policies that foster sustainable development and progress across the fisheries industry.

CLFMA OF INDIA participated in the Poultry India 2024 Exhibition dated 27th to 29th November 2024 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad, Telangana:
CLFMA OF INDIA participated in the Poultry India 2024 Exhibition, held from 27th to 29th November 2024 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad, Telangana. CLFMA hosted Stall Y-39 in Hall No. 5, which witnessed visits from CLFMA members and past chairmen during the event.
On 27th November 2024, CLFMA Chairman Mr. Divya Kumar Gulati felicitated the presenters of the Poultry Farmers Regulatory Committee (PFRC) during the Young Entrepreneurs in Poultry session held in Hyderabad. The PFRC is recognized for its groundbreaking advocacy efforts for the broiler chicken sector, making significant contributions to the industry.

CLFMA OF INDIA and the AIDA, in collaboration with GEMA, Novonesis and USGC organized 7th Seminar on 2nd December, 2024 at Novotel, Vijayawada:
CLFMA OF INDIA and the All India Distillers Association, in collaboration with GEMA, Novonesis & US Grains Council, organized the 7th Seminar themed “Feed of the Future: For India, By India” on 2nd December 2024 at Novotel, Vijayawada. The seminar focused on the theme “DDGS in India: Production, Handling, and Use”, attracting an enthusiastic turnout of 65 participants, including speakers, organizers, and industry stakeholders.
The seminar featured insightful presentations from distinguished experts, including:
- Dr. Ambasankar, Principal Scientist and Head, Nutrition Genetics and Biotechnology, ICAR-CIBA, Chennai, on the Scope for Corn DDGS in Aqua Feeds in India.
- Dr. Ravi Kumar Amreneni, on Nutrition-Related Shrimp and Fish Diseases, Deformities, and Growth Issues.
- Dr. Imran Khan, Cargill India, on DDGS in India – Production, Handling, and Use in Aqua Feeds.
- Mr. Amit Sachdev, Consultant, U.S. Grains Council, on the Global Scenario of DDGS and Corn.
- Dr. Syama Dayal, Principal Scientist, ICAR-CIBA, Chennai, on the Importance of Nutrigenomics in Aqua Nutrition.
- Mr. Prashant Jha, Technical Sales Manager, Novonesis, on key industry insights.
Additionally, a presentation by an Eid Parry India Pvt. Ltd., who provided a deeper understanding of DDGS production and quality. Dr. Dinesh Bhosale, Past Chairman of CLFMA OF INDIA, represented the association and highlighted its role in advancing industry collaboration.
The seminar saw fantastic audience participation, with attendees actively engaging in discussions and expressing keen interest in accessing the presentations. This successful event reflects CLFMA OF INDIA’s unwavering commitment to addressing critical livestock feed challenges, advancing knowledge, and fostering strong networks within the sector.
