Monthly Round up December 2021

Dear CLFMA Members & Industry Colleagues,

CLFMA OF INDIA is always striving hard for the betterment of the Livestock Sector. CLFMA OF INDIA’s efforts are on to meet the future requirements of the growing population continually and more push is to be given to the entire Livestock Sector including Dairy, Poultry and Fisheries. CLFMA OF INDIA is continually taking efforts towards boosting the Livestock Sector in India as well as Internationally.
Let me give you a glimpse of few of the CLFMA’s important activities of the December month:

Representations by CLFMA:

Further to the letter written to Shri.Pramod Kumar Tiwari IAS, Director General (DG), BIS HEADQUARTER, New Delhi on 29th October, 2021, CLFMA again sent a gentle reminder to him on 1st December 2021 with a request to help CLFMA OF INDIA to organize a Webinar in association with BIS to discuss all topics related to Cattle Feed Standards involving all the departments viz. FAD5, Registration, Quality, etc., for the benefit of our CLFMA Members.

Meetings:

Myself and Mr.Suresh Deora, Hon. Secretary visited Krishi Bhavan, New Delhi on 22nd December, 2021 to meet Government Of India authorities for discussing the pending issues related to CLFMA OF INDIA. The Government Officials visited were Dr.Gagan Garg, Assistant Commissioner, Dept. of AH&D., Shri.G.N.Singh, Joint Secretary (Admin./Trade/GC/IC), Dept. of AH&D., Dr. O. P. Chaudhary, Joint Secretary (NLM/PC), Dept. of AH&D., Dr.Lipi Sairiwal, AC(AH), Dept. of AH&D., Smt. M. Lata, PSO, Office of Secretary (LR), Dept. of Land Resources. Dr. S. K. Dutta, Joint Commissioner (AH), Dept. of AH&D, and met Honourable Minister AHD and Fisheries Shri. Parshottam Rupala during Annual General Meeting of PFI on 23rd December, 2021 and updated him on CLFMA activities and current industry updates.

Stakeholder Outreach:

On 8th December, 2021 we received email from Dr. H. R. Khanna, Joint Commissioner, Dept. of AH&D, New Delhi forwarded by Mr. Vijay Thakre on Disposal of Non-issuable food grain stocks categories as Feed – III / Industrial use / Manure lying at FSD Narela, Ghevra, Shaktinagar, Mayapuri, Okhla of Delhi Region, which was circulated to all Members on the same day.

CLFMA Chairman, Mr. Neeraj Kumar Srivastava was interviewed by Zee Business on 24th December 2021. He appreciated Government of India for extending help to the Poultry, Aqua and Livestock sector as a whole, by permitting soybean meal import and fixing on stock limit of soyabean meal.

We are participating in India International Aquaculture Expo 2022 scheduled on 26th - 27th January, 2022 at Chennai, India, CLFMA will have stall at the IIAE. CLFMA is also participating in the 7th Edition of Feed Tech Expo scheduled on 3rd - 5th February 2022 at Kingston Event Centre, Kurukshetra and CLFMA will have stall at the Feed Tech Expo as well.

Amidst surge in Covid Pandemic (3rd wave), CLFMA planned Aqua, Dairy and Poultry Webinars during upcoming months. More details will be available to all members by CLFMA Secretariat from time to time.

CLFMA’s efforts are on to improve working of our organizational effectiveness and we are striving hard to redefine ourselves. Further, I would like to solicit your valuable inputs and suggestions to improve further and achieve the newer heights.
