Dear CLFMA members and industry colleagues,

CLFMA had a great successful 60th National Symposium in the month of September, 2018 in Goa, which enriched our visibility & recognition amongst wider industry stakeholders.

Let me highlight a few important aspects from the past few months:

CLFMA 60th National Symposium

Over 500 representatives from Poultry, Dairy and Aqua Sectors around all parts of India and overseas attended the flagship event of CLFMA to discuss key trends and emerging innovations that will shape the future of the Indian Livestock Industry. The symposium also addressed key issues such as how to ensure that the animal agri-business attracts the best talent and how to make the sector attractive to youngsters.

CLFMA Symposium was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Shri. Mauvin Godinho, Hon’ble Minister of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, Government of Goa. Present at the ceremony was Shri. Tarun Shridhar, Secretary ADF, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India, among others. On the day of National Symposium on 8th September, 2018, several global and national level experts discussed all aspects in people, technology and innovation to take the sector to the next wave of growth. In summary, the symposium shed light on the generation next, those will be thought-leaders & torch bearers for the industry in future.

World Egg Day 2018

I, along with few other Office bearers celebrated World Egg Day 2018 in Veterinary College, Shirwal and spoke to the audience about promoting egg consumption in India. Further, CLFMA actively got engaged on social media (Facebook and Twitter) by kickstarting CLFMA Knowledge Series “Ask the Nutritionist” on 12th October, 2018.

We also garnered extensive media coverage in both business and popular media besides online social media platforms for our symposium and also on World Egg Day 2018.

Poultry India 2018

This year also CLFMA is participating in Poultry India 2018. I welcome everyone to visit our booth to learn more about CLFMA’s activities and impact.

Aqua Biz India 2018

CLFMA is planning to partner the event Aquabiz India 2018 on 21-23 December 2018, Venue: V R Siddhartha Engineering College Grounds, Kanuru, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.

Cage Ban - Litigation

As the industry is gearing up to face the biggest threat to its survival, the case on banning battery cages had been scheduled in Jan 2019. CLFMA will keep track of the developments and keep all its members and other stakeholders posted.

Also, I would like to solicit your valuable inputs and suggestions to improve further and achieve the newer heights.
